A D A M & M O L L Y

Location: Family Home, Roggen, Colorado

"Adam and Molly are about to blend their heritage, their dirt, and seal it with a new layer, land that they just purchased. One that they will make their home on, land that has all the hopes and dreams that a newly married couple has. Dirt that will be around for generations to come and hopefully tell their story."

Beneath wide Colorado skies and sun-drenched fields, Adam and Molly’s wedding was more than a union of two people — it was the joining of two legacies rooted five generations deep. Held on Molly’s family farm in Roggen, just northeast of Denver, this wedding wasn’t simply a celebration — it was an heirloom in motion.

From our first conversation, Molly shared how farming has been the lifeblood of both families — and how their story was meant to be captured not just for the couple, but for the generations of farmers who will one day look back on this moment. As a legacy wedding videographer, I knew this would be a film that lives far beyond the day.

The highlight of the ceremony was the symbolic blending of family soil — a heartfelt “dirt ceremony” that honored the land they’ve each come from and the new land they’ve purchased together. Originally planned beneath an old oak tree by the schoolhouse, storms shifted the scene to a golden sunflower field, the schoolhouse still standing proudly in the background.

Molly and her father rode to the ceremony in a classic 1965 pickup, while she and Adam departed together in a tractor — a perfect homage to their roots. These intentional moments weren’t staged, just naturally woven into the day, and captured with a “fly on the wall” approach that kept the focus on real emotion.

The couple shares a deep bond through farming, raising cattle, and spending time with family — whether that’s working the land or playing cards. Molly lights up at Adam’s spontaneous singing and goofy nature, while Adam has come to adore the way Molly sings now too.

Molly describes Adam as a goober, sweet, and funny. Adam says Molly is kind, sassy, and always hungry — a playful glimpse into their dynamic.

This film is one I’ll always treasure — a cinematic wedding video rooted in history, land, and love. Special thanks to Robert Totten with Ascend Visuals for his collaboration in bringing this story to life..
